We are delighted to introduce SFF author of The Lavington Windsor Mysteries, Alice James, who has contributed a short story to our cross-genre anthology, Of Shadows, Stars, and Sabers!

Alice James—self-described as a science fiction and fantasy novelist, cat wrangler, and plant killer—is based in Oxford, England. Her paranormal romances, The Lavington Windsor Mysteries, star an amateur necromancer who helps solve murders by raising the dead to find out who killed them. She has had short stories published in Andromeda Spaceways and Indie Bites. Alice lives in an 18th century chapel with four cats and a lot of wine. Apparently she peaked in high school.
